I've been using this for several years and it's been pretty solid. The notifications work well once you configure correctly.
GadgetGuru: Just finally figured it out! The key is configuring the MQTT broker properly. Seems obvious now.

Quick note: Zigbee routing no longer works in version X. Use Zigbee2MQTT instead.
